A Note From Amber
Thank you so much for your patience as I’ve been building this newsletter with care. If you’re receiving this, it’s because we’ve connected through social media, networking calls, or local events, and I’m genuinely grateful to be in community with you.
You may know me from Sleepy Kidd Consulting, where I supported families through pediatric sleep consulting. As my work has evolved, I’ve rebranded to Rooted Motherhood Co., expanding my services to include postpartum doula support while continuing to offer sleep consulting for families who need it.
I’m excited to watch this village grow—provider by provider, relationship by relationship—as we serve families with excellence and compassion in the postpartum season and beyond. You can expect this newsletter to arrive monthly, with partner spotlights, referral cues, and practical ways we can support one another as a collaborative care network. My hope is that this space becomes a valuable resource for connection, collaboration, and better outcomes for the families we serve together.
“When we come together in faith and care, we create a sanctuary where new life and healing thrive.”

Service Spotlight
Daytime Postpartum Care & Prenatal Prep
Rooted Motherhood Co. offers a unique daytime postpartum care service designed to ease the transition for new families. This service includes seven home care stations that provide hands-on support for infant care, maternal rest, and household help. Meals are prepared to nourish the family, and optional Christian faith support is available for those who desire spiritual encouragement during this sacred time.
This service helps families establish routines around infant sleep, feeding, and maternal wellness, reducing stress and promoting healing. It also prepares expectant mothers with prenatal education and practical skills to build confidence before birth.
When to Refer:
“I’m due soon and I feel unprepared—can someone help us set up the baby space and a real postpartum plan?”
“My partner is back at work and I’m alone during the day. I’m overwhelmed and I need hands-on support at home.”
“Feeding and recovery feel stressful. I don’t know what’s normal, and I need someone to help me troubleshoot.”
“We’re not eating, the house feels chaotic, and I can’t get ahead—meal support and a postpartum routine would be a lifesaver.”

How this supports your practice:
When you refer a family to our daytime postpartum care services, we help bridge the gap between appointments by reinforcing your care plan in the home. We provide hands-on guidance and parent education to help families confidently follow through with your recommendations. We also offer ongoing practical and emotional support during the postpartum period, helping families navigate the day-to-day challenges that naturally arise between provider visits. We help ensure families feel supported while allowing your team to focus on the clinical care only you can provide. This allows you to spend less time reviewing basics at follow-up visits and more time focusing on clinical progress and outcomes.
